Bayındır International Flower Festival opened its doors for the 26th time

The International Bayındır Flower Festival opened its doors for the 26th time in Bayındır, which is on its way to becoming the center of floriculture in Turkey.

The opening ceremony of the 26th Bayındır International Flower Festival was hosted by Bayındır Mayor Davut Sakarsu and attended by Republican People's Party (CHP) Izmir MPs Salih Uzun, Mahir Polat, Sevda Erdan Kılıç, Rahmi Aşkın Türeli, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay, Tire Mayor Hayati Okuroğlu, Ödemiş Mayor Mustafa Turan, Karabağlar Mayor Helil Kınay, Gaziemir Mayor Ünal Işık. Davut Sakarsu, Mayor of Bayındır, started his speech at the opening ceremony by thanking Dr. Cemil Tugay, Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for his support and continued: “The story of the flower, which dates back to the Ottoman Empire in Bayındır and started with a small step in the fertile soils of the Menderes basin, is today the main source of income and the chimneyless factory of a city as the locomotive of the local development movement.”

During the festival, performances by performance artists and folk dance teams will continue. Croatian Clarinet Quartet, the Croatian Guest Artist Group, will also give a concert at the festival. IzBB Trio Group concert, Enes Kunduracı concert, Özlem Menokan concert, Bayındır Municipality Rhythm Group Show, Bayındır Historical Photograph Exhibition, Band Mosaic Concert, IzBB DJ Percussion Show, Gaffers Band Concert will be waiting for the guests. Visitors to the area will be able to immortalize the 26th International Bayındır Flower Festival in the photo shooting area.

Within the scope of the festival, Mansur Ark will take the stage on Friday, May 2, Haluk Levent, the powerful voice of Anatolian Rock music on Saturday, May 3, and Işın Karaca, the powerful name of Turkish pop music on Monday, May 4, at the City Stadium. The concerts and all other events that will give those who will fill the stadium an unforgettable evening will be organized free of charge by Bayındır Municipality.
